POLARIS

Subsidized by SURF Educatie <F>, Learning Lab has created a learning environment in which students can learn together (collaborative / cooperative learning). In comparison with other learning environments, such as WebCT and Blackboard, POLARIS contains only the specific functionality that is required to learn with others and, also, to learn from others with the aid of electronic communication. Currently, the Learning Lab is working on a new version of POLARIS that is designed to be integrated as a Building Block into Blackboard. In 2002 Learning Lab won the Academic Innovation Award. In 2003 POLARIS obtained the qualification 'Blackboard Enabled'. For more information please contact Frans Ronteltap.

TELL

In Tell (Towards Effective network supported coLLaborative learning activities) scientific knowledge on Networked Supported Collaborative Learning (NSCL) will be translated for every day use. This project will offer a set of design patterns. One part of this framework will concern the interchangeability of data, collected during the learning process, among various tools and platforms for NSCL. Close collaboration will happen in order to standardise NSCL. Tell is a European project. For more information please contact André Koehorst.                                                                                              More about TELL >
